Determine your Inside Opening Size by measuring artwork. This creates the overlap needed to secure the art.

• E.g. If your artwork is 11x14, subtract ½” from both measurements (10.5x13.5)
• If you use a double mat, measure the same way (opening size is not altered)

Determine Your Outside Edge Size

• If you have a frame, lay it face down to measure the opening
• E.g. If the opening is 8x10, you will need an 8x10 matboard
